Haifa Cable Car
The Cable Car belongs to the public transportation system in Haifa and connects Merkazit HaMifratz and the Check Post with the Technion and the University of Haifa. The cable car is the longest cable car in Israel and the first public transportation cable car in Israel for mass transportation.
The Cable Car was established to give passengers an alternative to private cars and buses due to the transportation crisis in the city and to ease the parking crisis at the campuses in Ma’ale Carmel.
The Technion has a passenger station Technion Center near the Danziger Building.
