Sustainability Made by the Technion

A group of researchers from the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at the Technion presents at Nature Materials a new process for the production of green hydrogen using renewable energy.
This process has significant advantages over other processes used to produce green hydrogen, and its continued development into commercial technology may reduce and accelerate the use of green hydrogen as a clean and sustainable substitute for fossil fuels.

The process was developed by Ilya Slobodkin as part of his master’s thesis, with the help of senior researcher Dr. Yelena Davidova and with the assistance of Dr. Anna Brietos and master’s student Matan Sananis, all from Prof. Avner Rothschild’s research group.
