Campus Alive – From Academic Research to Sustainable Operations | October 6, 2026
How can academic research become a real-world solution for more sustainable campus operations?
On October 6, the Technion Sustainability Front will host “Campus Alive – From Lab to Sustainable Operations”, a day dedicated to exploring how universities can use their campuses as living laboratories to test, implement and scale environmental solutions.
We will showcase projects in which research conducted at the Technion is directly connected to campus operations – turning academic knowledge into practical change.
But there is another goal that is just as important: bringing together the people who are advancing sustainability in academia across Israel.
We invite faculty members, researchers, sustainability professionals, campus operations teams and anyone working on environmental challenges in universities and colleges to join us.
This is an opportunity to:
- Discover innovative sustainability projects taking place on campuses
- Learn from experiences, challenges and lessons from other institutions
- Meet colleagues working on similar issues
- Build connections and potential collaborations across Israeli academia
We believe that campuses can be much more than places where research is conducted. They can be living laboratories for creating and testing the sustainable solutions of tomorrow.
We would love to see colleagues from universities and colleges across Israel join us in this conversation.
