Call for Research Proposals – Marine Engineering 2026
The Israeli Institute for Marine Engineering Research (CAMERI), jointly founded by the Technion and Israel Ports Company, is pleased to announce its 2026 Call for Research Proposals.
The program aims to advance scientific research in marine and coastal engineering, enhance collaboration between CAMERI and Technion researchers, and promote innovation that supports Israel’s maritime infrastructure and environment.
Annual funding available: up to 575,000 NIS
Submission deadline: June 30, 2026
Relevant research areas include:
- Ocean and offshore engineering
- Experimental and model-testing methods
- Numerical modeling and simulations
- Sensing and measurement technologies for coastal and marine environments
- Naval architecture
Key requirements:
- Collaboration with CAMERI researchers and potential use of CAMERI facilities and datasets (subject to approval).
- Each proposal must include at least one CAMERI researcher.
- Proposals must be submitted in English (up to 10 pages) in PDF format.
- Budget may include 15% overhead and VAT as required.
- Up to three projects will be selected, each for a duration of two years.
- Final decisions will be made by the CAMERI Steering Committee.
