In 2018-2019, just before covid-19 hit, the Technion purchased about 3,500,000 disposable plastic utensils for daily needs.
With the transition to consumables only, and the regulation of ordering tools for events that are controlled by the heads of administration and the main warehouse, the Technion purchased only about 104,000 tools in 2021-2022.
