FoodTech Hackathon at the Technion

At the end of two fascinating days (30-31.3.23), the first session of a hackathon on depreciation streams ended, as part of the FoodTech Nation program to deal with the challenges of depreciation streams and find sustainable solutions.
The FoodTech Program at the Technion is part of the FoodTech Nation community that operates in a number of academic institutions in Israel with the aim of expose and connect students to the foodTech industry; create collaborations between students from different faculties; understand the scientific and marketing challenges and learn about the environmental impacts; and to impart tools and entrepreneurial thinking.

The project was led by the students: Shahar Haffner, Neta Soto, Shai Mogliansky, Itay Israel and Gabriella Amiram.

📣 And now for the winners: 👏👏

🥇First place was won by the FEATHEAL Group for the idea of using feathers from the poultry industry for the production of bandages
🥈Second place was won by the EcoEgg Pots Group for the idea of producing biodegradable ‘pots’ for seedlings from the shells of eggs
